Over the last few weeks, we've explored the beautiful Yuma off-road trails and traveled from Yuma to Joshua Tree National Park. One of our highlights from the last month in Yuma was attending the rodeo, where we cheered on cowboys and cowgirls as they showed off their skills. We had some lowlights as well with some RV repairs. We introduce our newest segment, sharing details about our favorite off-road trails. We took advantage of boondocking options when we weren't at the parks included in our Thousand Trails and Encore membership.

Boondocking near Yuma

A quick sidetrack from Yuma to Joshua Tree National Park

Yuma to Joshua Tree National Park

California and Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park, located in Southern California, this unique park offers stunning desert landscapes and fascinating rock formations. Visitors can hike through the park's trails, climb its iconic boulders, stargaze under the clear desert sky, and take in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The park is also home to the namesake Joshua trees, unlike any other tree in the world. It took us approximately 3.5 hours to drive from Yuma to Joshua Tree National Park. There is boondocking outside the park, but we stayed at Thousand Trails Palm Springs.

Yuma's off-road trails

One of our favorite activities has been hitting the off-road trails in the Jeep. Yuma has no shortage of incredible trails to explore, and we've had a blast discovering new ones. Each trail has unique challenges and rewards, from rocky terrain to sandy dirt roads.
