We recently spent a couple of months in Idaho and Montana on our way to Canada.
We began our adventure by leaving Wyoming and heading north on Scenic Route 89. Our first stop was in Ketchum, ID. The Jeep trails were beautiful, and we even stumbled upon some fascinating Hemingway history. We traveled to Columbia Falls and camped in the dispersed area of North Fork Rd. This will be our third time at this location, and we love it because it’s so close to Glacier National Park. We also celebrated the 4th of July in Hungry Horse.
Lake Creek Road (Coming soon on Trails Offroad — we will link when it’s published)
Pole Creek-Germania Creek—This trail checked all of our favorite boxes! It has tons of trees, water crossings, snow, and epic views! We had a picnic at the trail end in the beautiful Washington Basin near the lake.
