Plus, it's just a short drive away from attractions like Hurricane Harbor Splashtown, the Houston Zoo (a little over an hour away), Sam Houston Museum, and the Prison Museum, providing diverse experiences for all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our travels, we've found that the best campgrounds for RVs offer more than just a place to park. They offer a sense of community, various activities, and a connection to the local area. It serves as a perfect base for exploring the rich history and natural beauty of South Dakota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mount Rushmore is a short drive away, an iconic symbol of American history. The historic town of Deadwood, famous for its wild-west history, and Sturgis, known for its annual motorcycle rally, are also within easy reach. Nature lovers will appreciate the proximity to the Black Hills, a mountain range offering breathtaking views and hiking trails, and Custer State Park, known for its wildlife and scenic drives. YOu can drive on the beach, adding a dash of thrill to the tranquil beach experience. One of our most cherished memories at Oceana is of a night when we had a fire on the beach. As the flames danced and the stars twinkled overhead, our kids played and acted crazy, filling the night with laughter and joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oceana is in the heart of razor clam country during state-approved clamming seasons, offering yet another unique experience.
